Updated, Easy-to-Use Benefits Screener Launches 11/18

Launching November 18, myMDTHINK’s updated, easy-to-use Benefits Screener allows new applicants and current Maryland benefit customers to check and see if they’re eligible for benefits like food assistance, cash assistance, energy bill support, and medical cost help – all in one quick step. We look forward to introducing this simple benefits experience to you!


The application period for Summer 2024 has closed. Applications received on or after September 1, 2024, will be reviewed for benefits for the Summer of 2025.


Did you receive MD SUN Bucks? Use them NOW. Don’t let your MD SUN Bucks expire!

SUN Bucks benefits expire 122 days after the funds are loaded onto the card, regardless of when the card is activated. Expired benefits cannot be replaced or put back on the card. Benefits issued in June will expire in October. Benefits issued in July will expire in November. Benefits issued in August will expire in December. Please make sure that your SUN Bucks benefits are used before the expiration month.

Effective June 1, 2024, SNAP recipients who are considered Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) must meet specific work requirements to continue receiving benefits.
